'This is Halloween' October 31, 2002 - 5:01 p.m. Today is Halloween, obviously. Usually I'm all kinds of excited about today. The dressing up. The scary movies. Of course, the trick or treating was always fun. What kid wouldn't want a bag full of free candy? I'm just jealous that, even with my young appearance, I can no longer trick or treat. Maybe this has caused my love for the holiday to decrease. I still love Halloween. But for some reason, I've not been as excited this year as I have previously. No costume. No plans. I'm going to be spending the night here. Alone. (Chris works until 11pm) As far as I know, there is no Halloween night party planned. There was one on Saturday though. And we went. But neither of us were dressed up. I wore jeans and a tight fitted t-shirt with my blue suede sneakers. If anyone asked, I figured I could just tell them I was dressed as Fred, from Angel. My hair is nearly identical to hers (except mine is longer) and our build is almost exact as well. I guess had I been carrying a crossbow or something, then it would have been a legitimate costume. I'm getting ready to see what freaky shows/movies are coming on tonight. If nothing else, I can get in the mood that way. I've got all the lights out and the door locked. I'm not open for trick or treaters. I have no candy for them anyhow. I just figured I'd spend the night like I normally do. Watching tv. Playing on the computer. Well....... I'll add some Butterfinger Hot Chocolate to the same old thing. That could be considered festive. Right?
