Typical Tuesday May 14, 2003 - 10:37 a.m. We went to Big Choice Comics, where he got a few more packs of L5R cards. He paid. We went to Hooters for dinner. He paid. He's talking about getting a few movies on DVD. He'll pay. It was his birthday and he had to pay for his own meal. He didn't even have a single gift to unwrap. Not even from his parents, though they did send him checks. I feel horrible that I didn't have the money to even pay for his birthday dinner. I wasn't able to get him a single gift. When I made the cake for him, it fell apart. I was able to put it back together with a little effort and it still tasted fantastic, but it was pretty heart-breaking when the one 'gift' I had for him crumbled. His own Mom didn't get him a cake like she usually does, though she was in town, so he appreciated the thought very much. I even put a few candles in it and made him blow them out. And he thought the pop-up card was cute. But there wasn't a real gift and he had to buy his own dinner. That just hurts. So much so, that I started crying when I thanked him for the meal. I'm so greatful that he's extremely understanding. I don't know where I'd be without all of his help and thoughtfullness. Typical Tuesday night. Watch Buffy while taping Gilmore Girls, which we watch once Smallville is over. After last night, there's only one more episode left of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Ever. It doesn't seem right. It feels like there's still so much more they need to cover. Only forty five minutes remaining of the show and they still have to beat the bad guys, decide what they're going to do now, and say their good byes. Then there's the emotional conclusions that need to be absolved, namely the Buffy/Spike thing. There's so much to say and so little time to say it. But isn't that always how real life endings are? Buffyverse good news, Angel has been picked up for another season. And they're definitely throwing Spike in as a regular cast member. Just because other actors weren't mentioned, doesn't mean they won't appear. This is Whedon-World after all, anything is possibly. Don't trust the untold. We could see appearances from any person that's ever appeared on either show, dead or alive. No lines are ever drawn on who we might see.
