Three Stooges November 25, 2003 - 4:29 p.m.

Apparently there's going to be a Three Stooges movie done by the Farrelly Brothers.

While I can see them doing a funny movie, I can also envision them putting a twisted spin on it that just wouldn't do the Three Stooges any justice. It could wind up hugely appalling.

My first choice for this movie would have been Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and the rest of that group. Particularly Raimi. He's a Three Stooges nut and would have done a superb job with the film. It would be accurate and honorable to the original shows, as well as entertaining in a whole new way.

As far as actors... no idea. I couldn't see Campbell playing a Stooge. Maybe Shemp? He'd be fitting for the bad guy, though. Of course, some typical, smarmy asshole character. He seems to play that well.

I'm at a loss as to who could play the Stooges well. Maybe the people that played them in the tv movie.

While I'm on the movie subject, I think Chris just noticed my wacky 'random movie trivia' ability the other day. He was telling me about some strange movie he saw one night, and it had an actor from one tv show and an actress... And I interrupted him to tell him which movie it was. Which is when he just stared at me and said "How do you do that?!"

Just like I had to argue with him and his friend that the guy in The Crow; City of Angels was not the guy that played Candyman. In fact, the guy that played Candyman was in the first Crow as the main henchman. I had to put the movie in to prove it. Yay for DVDs and their chapter selections. Even then, his friend was still doubting me. I was like, 'Look bitches, I'll pull up the IMDB if I have to.' Then Chris agreed with me, and he relented.

If I don't know something, I'll admit it. And I may get certain things mixed up. But overall, I know my movie trivia.

At least, I'm confident in what I do know.
