Look, Ma! Two entries in one day!

I often sleep in the living room, with the tv on. Especially when no one else is home. Sometimes I'll set the 'sleep' function on the tv so that it shuts itself off after so long. Other times, I don't worry about it.

Last night I started dozing and was unconscious for maybe fifteen minutes to half an hour, not very long at all, when I heard a guy screaming "Someone!! Help me!!!". I woke up with an almost panicked, frozen feeling, still half asleep.

The screaming continued.

When I looked at the tv, there was just the image of an empty field and lots of fog. No shapes in the background, no house or trees, no people. Just field and fog. Not even any music, there was just the pleas for help. I didn't know what to do besides stare blankly. That, or go back to sleep. Finally, they showed where the screaming was coming from; a random head in the field. Apparenly this kid was buried with only his head sticking out of the ground.

I think I'd be freaking out a bit myself.

I just sat there for a moment letting reality sink in. It all had this very surreal feeling to it. After I watched as his head was used as a pin for bowling, I changed the channel and went back to sleep.

I didn't have any weird dreams because of it, nor did I re-awaken into Bizarro World.

~ Friday Five ~
You have just won one million dollars:
1. Who do you call first?

If I'm not here, I would call Chris first. Otherwise, I guess my mom or Becky, depending on who I could get ahold of first.
2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
A house. At least, that would be the first thing to set into motion. And I don't need some million dollar home, so I would have plenty of money left over afterwards. Otherwise, maybe the Whedon DVDs I'm behind on, a nice outfit or two, couple of books. Maybe just a really nice dinner. And obviously, a computer.
3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
A fridge for Chris. Or a cleaning crew and repairmen for my mom. I'd also pay off the rest of her house.
4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
I'd like to say yes, but I don't know that I would immediately. I'd like to make investments and let my money grow first. I would definitely donate my time though. Then again, at that point, if I've invested time into a charity and I really get that involved and see where they need the money the most... I'd probably just help buy whatever they need. Like if it's a no-kill animal shelter (most likely), I'd run out and at least buy food for them.
5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
Of course. Originally, I would have said Roth IRAs, cause I don't know any better. But I recently found out that it's probably better to go with a bank in another country because in some cases, they offer 40% interest on American dollars. Otherwise I'd think of hiring a personal accountant to help in those kinds of decisions, but they could always screw you over.

Also... this boxset so totally rocks, but youch at the price. I'll still get it eventually. That's much better than the random compilation discs with four lousy episodes that they've been doing. And the episodes are in order!!
