Adventures in Sunnydale September 07, 2002 - 4:51 p.m. Buffy board game. Six hours. Six rounds. I was mistaken when I thought there were 4 completely different games. It’s the same game with 4 possible villains. The big bad from each season. Therefore, 4 different objectives. I played the good guys. Buffy, Xander, Willow and Oz. He played the villains. The Mayor, the Master, the Judge, Adam, then the Master and Mayor again. (Wow... the main villain didn’t have an actual name until season 4.) The good guys (me) won all but one game. Adam killed Buffy, which was his only objective. So game over at that point. The Judge also killed Buffy, but his objective was to kill/sire ALL of the good guys. So I guess after they kicked the giant smurf’s ass, Willow brought Buffy back from the dead. Again. The slayer is unstoppable. The first mayor didn’t even have the opportunity to ascend because we destroyed the Box of Garvok. No ascension, game over. I win. :) The second mayor ascended and we had to beat his demon ass down, slowly. After Xander died Veruca and the demon mayor started ganging up on Buffy, who eventually died as well. Willow and Oz ended up saving the But it was Willow (with a little help from Buffy) that pulled off the coolest move when fighting the Master the second time around. She walked out of the library (doing a bit of demon research), dropped down into the sewer, popped out on the opposite side of town in an alley directly behind the Master, ran forward and hit him. At which point Buffy pulled off a summoning spell and Willow disappeared from the alley and reappeared in the mausoleum where everyone else was fighting. That’s when she staked Darla and her dust scattered in the shuffle. A normal day on the Hellmouth.
