It's the Small Things in Life October 13, 2002 - 11:48 a.m.

The previous entry was mostly brought on by the lack of water at the moment.

Our plan was to go get a water heater today, as well as some plywood to replace the subflooring where the current heater is slumped. But since we aren't getting any help with installing said heater until tomorrow, the purchase has been put off until tomorrow.

Am I alone in thinking it was a better idea to go get everything needed today, since we were dressed and made plans to anyhow, instead of waiting until tomorrow? It seems to me that it would have made tomorrow's chores a whole lot simpler and quicker. Less time consuming is always good. Also, it would have lifted a little 'weight off the shoulders' by having part of it already accomplished. Have the ALL the material needed is like a step in the right direction. A beginning, even a small one, is still a beginning.

Yeah, I know... I spend too much time on the details. The little things.

But I'm a girl. That's my job, dammit.

Besides, I really want to take a shower, and I'm fairly certain that I could have figured out how to hook up the stupid thing anyhow. I don't claim to be the most intelligent person........ hell, I don't claim to be intelligent, but that kind of stuff seems so insanely simple to me. Especially when it comes with a little diagram showing exactly how it's supposed to look and telling you which piece to connect where.

Every form of electronic seems to come with that anymore.
