Rambling Stampy Currency December 19, 2002 - 5:44 p.m.

Change in plans, of course.

No movie today because Chris finally realized he had to finish his Christmas shopping.

I believe I'm dating a bigger procrastinator than myself.

Rumor has it that we'll make another attempt tomorrow or Saturday.

But on the plus side, I've completely finished my shopping and mailed out all my Christmas cards, except the one going to my Dad. I needed just one more stamp for his card, because it contained four gift cards, therefore required more postage.

The Post Office was sold out of stamps.

Um....

Does anyone else see the strangeness in that statement?

We even went to a grocery store because there have been commercials proclaiming the availability of stamps at locations other than the post office.

They were sold out as well.

I think stamps should become the new global currency.

If you actually take the time to think about that.... it makes complete and total sense. Stamps seem to be the only thing constant in any country. They have to be readable from any language. There are more benefits... but I'm still too listless to even bother going into it.

I'm just rambling now.
