??? It's Out of Print ??? December 06, 2002 - 12:36 p.m.

He's tormenting me.

The onset of the Christmas riddles have begun.

I haven't slept and now can't sleep. I'm trying to decipher the gift.

"It has three other parts. Two of which are optional. One is necessary. All three are out of print."

'It' = whatever it is that he's already purchased.

So I am utterly confused.

The gift that he has bought... would that make it completely useless in the event that he's unable to find the 'necessary part'?

Whatever it is, is wrapped in plastic. Brand new. It wasn't out of print.

Books are often wrapped in plastic, so I'm ruling out a series.

Clothes don't go 'out of print', just out of style.

Does 'print' really mean print? Or could it simply be another phrase for 'discontinued'?

I'm thinking it's a game of some sort. Be it PC or otherwise, I have no idea. But that's all I can really think of.

For example: The Sims... where there's officially only one game, but they've since released five expansions to the game. Without the original, I couldn't play any of the expansions. But as long as I have the original, I can play any of the expansions. Hence the whole 'one is necessary' line. But it's not The Sims. I already have the whole set.

Or I could be completely way of basis and it's nothing of the sort.

I've spent the whole morning muttering 'It's out of print?!'.

My mind is mush. Has it always been that way or is it caused by over-thought?

Wow, I'm full of questions today.
