Heat Nice January 18, 2003 - 10:51 p.m.

We have heat!!! Normal heat flowing through heating ducts, escaping into every room of the house. It's so delightfully warm now. As well as cheaper on utilites. Running those two little electric heaters was far too expensive. And not nearly as effective, especially now that the temperature wants to have a slumber party at 10 degrees. But the bathroom still seems to stay slightly chilly. Showering in a cold room, is so not fun. But it's a lot warmer now than before. So the toilet seat won't be so shocking anymore.

Today is Becky's birthday.

Originally, Chris and I were going to go to the Mag Bar to celebrate with her, but the doodyhead just fell asleep a little over an hour ago. I tried asking him a few questions and didn't even get a response. So my thinking was along the lines of 'his driving would be better if he were awake and drunk as opposed to sleepy like this'.

Now, combine this with the fact that the roads, particularly the roads around here, are covered in snow and most likely ice thus causing much slippage....... I kinda felt an excursion wouldn't work.

So I called her, she happened to be home and we have planned for a possible dinner or something tomorrow.

I feel bad because I already declined to go to the comedy thing earlier this week with her. And now on her actual birthday, I'm calling and saying 'Won't be there'.

But stepping back and looking rationally.... I think it'd hurt just a bit more if we creamed into some other car or wound up in a ditch or wrapped around some light pole.
