Me, the Video Game Player August 27, 2002 - 2:53 p.m. I'm hating these 'down' moments. They're flooding in at full force lately. Completely unrelenting. As well as unexplained. Last night's nuisance left as quickly as it came. We moved a couch shortly after my shower. Which is so awesome. Something I've been begging to do for awhile now. There was lots of stuff to move around in order for the couch to be brought in here... and we moved all of it last night. The couch is now in here, and leaves the other room so much larger. It's the little things in life that I tend to appreciate more... like moving a couch. heheh The Buffy game totally rocks. Her moves are very quick and numerous, and she's pretty easy to control. Her fighting style is nearly identical to the show, considering a monkey is controlling her with the... um... controller. Everyone does their own voices in the game, except for Sarah Michelle Gellar. But the chic they have doing her voice is amazing. There are times you actually think it's Buffy... only a slight pronunciation here and there gives it away. Oh, and the smarmy one-liners are great when heard randomly throughout fights. "Go ahead... Kick my ass." It's also cool that they didn't just repeat the SAME line over and over and over. Each level adds a few more phrases. And you can break tables/chairs/etc to get stakes. As well as there being various pointy things strategically placed to toss the vamps onto. The replay value is also great, because there are little things that may change with each level each time you attempt them. Maybe nothing extraordinary, but still different, therefore cool. I'm sure there's tons of other cool things, but I'm braindead as usual. Damn video games and television.
