More Kitten Stuff August 12, 2002 - 2:49 p.m.

Boredom today. Chris (the boyfriend) is working today, so he won't pick me up until VERY late tonight. My legs hurt SOOOO much. (from moving yesterday) It was pretty painful to go into the basement. Far too many steps for my liking, today.

But watching the kitten play with our overweight Cocker Spaniel is pretty damn amusing and quite cute. She'll run sideways, with her back arched, straight towards Lady (the dog)and not back off until she's like an inch from her face. And she'll take swings at her and grab her long tangled ears. And that causes Lady to get all hyper and start whining and jumping around. So the kitten will run and pounce all over again. Then dart across the room, at which point Lady follows. It goes back and forth like this until one of them gets tired. They relax for a few minutes, then they start all over again. Romeo and Twink don't care much for the kitten at all, but they're slowly getting used to it.

I think I need a nap.

P.S. - It's so unbelievably adorable having this tiny thing run up to you, sleepily meowing this nearly inaudible noise, and purring like crazy, demanding attention.
