Middle Earth Goodness November 16, 2002 - 3:07 p.m.

I'm all kinds of happy now.

Only seconds after 2:00 (about an hour ago) I finally received my Lord of the Rings gift set.

It's so many levels of pretty.

I just stared at it for the longest time. Afraid to open it. Like my touch would act as a contagion and damage it. Much like touching a butterflies wings will slowly kill it.

Once I got over the staring... I simply had to open it. To examine all its pretty entrails. The DVD's themselves, including the National Geographic disc. The bookends. The 'hobbit-sized' magazine. The trading cards. The free movie ticket for Two Towers.

This was so worth the money and wait.

And I haven't even put the disc into the player yet!!!

I'm making my mom watch it tonight.
