IQs and True Talents
January 06, 2004 - 3:36 p.m.
Your IQ score is 127 This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others. Your Intellectual Type is Word Warrior. This means you have exceptional verbal skills. You can easily make sense of complex issues and take and unusually creative approach to solving problems. Your strengths also make you a visionary. Even without trying you're able to come up with lots of new and creative ideas. And that's just a small part of what we know about you from your test results. Meaning "Give us money, we'll tell you more." And I guess I'm so much of a 'word warrior' that I realize it's supposed to say 'take an unusually..' instead 'and'. What's bad, I have no idea if 127 is good or bad. I don't even really care, I was just bored. I hadn't been to Emode in a long time - which is apparently now called Tickle - and I got a popup ad with this IQ test from them, so I figured what the hell. I'd probably taken it before, but oh well. I also took this test: Your true talent is spatial ability. Your ability to visualize objects in three-dimensional space gives you a unique view of the world. Because of this talent, you are much better than most people at imagining new designs including floor plans, page layouts, and three dimensional objects. How do we know that's your true talent? While you were taking the test, we calculated your responses to each test question and rated your skills in 5 areas. You scored highest on spatial ability. People like you are usually great when it comes to putting together assemble-it-yourself furniture or other household items — whether the items arrive with instructions or not. Your spatial skills also help you understand the finer points of how things work. Okay, so that whole assembly thing is true. I love putting things together. Chris got a bookshelf for Christmas, and it's still sitting in the trunk of his car. Since we've both felt better, I keep reminding him to bring it in so we can put it together. I've thought about making furniture. Like, designing couches, chairs, tables, etc... Maybe I should.
