Hot Chocolate Rambles February 24, 2003 - 2:13 p.m.

So I faked looking for a job for like ten minutes today. I'm such a loser with no ambitions. But I'll give it a try later. Honest. I have legitimate reasons for not looking anyhow.

I was cleaning. A lot.

The dryer recently died on us, so there was laundry to gather so that we can take it to the 'laundry store' tonight. [In one of my many childlike moods, I said 'laundry store' instead of 'laundromat'.] There were tons of pots and pans, along with regular dishes, that needed to be washed. I've washed all but a few glasses so far. Cleaned a really nice, large-sized vegetable steamer that has sat on the counter and collected dust for at least two years that I know of. And it was beside the stove, so there was lots of gunk on it. It was foul, but ever so pretty and shiney now. Scrubed the completely disgusting stove, but I need a 'special' cleaner for the burners. Took the trash out and collected some of the random trash around the house. I took chicken out for dinner tonight. I'm going to make Chicken Broccoli Alfredo. Wiped down the counters, started straightening the living room, started a grocery list. I cleared and organized lots of space on the hard drive. Oh, and I read a few chapters while I waited for some downloads to finish... downloads that I'd been meaning to get for awhile.

It may all seem like a bunch of nothing, but I feel I got a lot accomplished.

Otherwise, I have nothing to talk about.

Chris started working first shift today. He had one day to allow his sleep to switch from third shift to first. But he automatically woke up an hour earlier than he needed to today, so I think the transition went fine.

And my tummy has been quite unhappy with me all day, so I've been filling it with hot chocolate. I think I've had four so far... yeah, four. We stopped by Wal-mart last night and I got two jumbo boxes of Swiss Miss goodness. Sixty (60) total packs of hot cocoa mix.

Maybe this is why I'm rambling ever so much...... ?
