Double Feature November 25, 2002 - 11:26 p.m.

We saw The Ring and Harry Potter last Saturday. Both very spectacular.

I am now the reigning Little Miss Uber-Paranoid, though. Complete with crown, sash, and jumpiness.

I've come to the realization that it's the faces in scary movies that fuck me up. There could be a limbless torso pulling itself around by its chin, and I'd laugh. But a gimped up, mutilated face causes instant eye closure. Well... that's not necessarily true. Freddy Krueger doesn't spawn the same reaction. I guess as long as the face isn't talking, completely void of emotion, then it remains creepy.

It's actually pretty strange... the way one thing will scare one person, yet not affect another. Chris had no fear in The Ring and I was a cowering fool. While I was all bright-eyed during Harry Potter, Chris was breaking out into a nervous sweat. It was the spider scene.

He can't stand spiders.

And he blatantly admitted that Harry Potter scared him more than The Ring.

I downloaded Ringu (the japanese version) and I don't know that I can bring myself to watch it now.

I'm such a loser.
