Dishes Are Done, Man July 27, 2004 - 5:00 p.m.

Eh, so I haven't updated in a week, shoot me.

It's not like I have interesting things to say anyhow.

Lessee... the 'outdoor' kitten is still inside nearly all day, and still doesn't have a name. Or a litter box. I take her out when I think she has to go, and that's been working well so far. She's peed in the house once, and that was the first day we found her; nearly two weeks ago. Chris' mom came into town this weekend to support Chris' brother - his father is dying of lung cancer - and we were worried that while she was here, she would complain about the cat being in the house. All she had to say was 'You should get it a flea collar'. That's even before she saw the kitten. Later the next day, when she went to get groceries to make a nice dinner, she got some cat toys. Which the kitten loves.

Said dinner was very nice. Pot roast with potatoes, corn, salad, biscuits, and even Moose Tracks pie. It went from five people going to eat, to three people eating... then back to five, then up to seven. Then even more people showed up and I lost track of just how many people were eating. All I know is that out of twelve clean plates, I only had 2 or 3 left after that one meal. And just two forks in the silverware drawer. Just a few bowls and a couple of glasses. And then everyone quickly left.

Left me, with all the dishes.

I'm still washing them.

Damn lack of a dishwasher.

In other news, my brother and his wife took a home pregnancy test and it came out positive. So it looks like I'll be a legitimate aunt in less than a year. It sounds like she wants to be a stay at home mom, which I've always thought to be so incredible. I guess I'm old fashioned that way.

And.... I think that covers everything.

Everyone needs to watch the Lego Spider-Man 2 movie, found here.

I am 75% like Inara, from Firefly. If you care, find out who you are.

And here is a cheesy Buffy quiz.
I am Xander - Congratulations! You managed to finish this test. Sure, it was only 10 questions, but we know the dim lighting in your parents' basement can make you sleepy. Even though you're not exactly a model for hard-core career motivation, your friends and loved ones adore you just the same for your charming personality and comic wit. (Your significant other even adored you four times in one night--and that's a job to be proud of.)
