Attack of the smushed cornea July 05, 2002 - 11:41 p.m. I haven't had an eye exam in like 5 years. Been dealing with the same pair of gunmetal glasses with the chewed earpiece and slightly bent, for 5 years. I needed something new. Today, I went in for contacts. My step-mom had a spare kinda thing. One single contact she didn't need/use. Still in the package, never opened. And I used it to 'practice' with. I'm not gonna share eye-gunk with anyone... eek Yeah, I'm a dork... practicing putting contacts in, before actually seeing the doc. It wasn't as difficult as everyone made it out to be. Kinda awkward getting the damn thing to stick to my eyeball. But all in all, a breeze. Didn't even really feel it on my eye, once I got it in place. Taking it out was a completely different story. The little fucker didn't wanna move! But I'm persistent. And my eyes hate me for it. The practice was well worth it though. Putting them in at the office was pretty much a snap. So now I have nifty plastic things to put on my eyeballs. Next I gotta work on replacement glasses for the days I'm too lazy to wear the contacts. There will be many of those. P.S. - I know it's lame, but I really wanna get the green and violet contacts now. And they have an awesome new turquoise set. Not to mention the Illusions stuff. The spiral rocks.
