CONsensus July 11, 2003 - 4:03 p.m.

I think the current CONsensus [yeah, I'm a dork], is that Chris isn't going to GenCon, but Dragon*Con instead. Dragon*Con just has way more to offer and the only real reason he wants to go to GenCon was to be in the national L5R tournament.

Although, it still isn't completely decided. It's all a matter of money. If he doesn't have the money to go to either, then he won't. But if he finds out he can't go to Dragon*Con, but he can get enough to go to GenCon, then he'll do that. But with it last minute like that, I probably would not be able to go with him.

Although, he has already stated that if he decides to go to Dragon*Con, then the cost he is figuring will include my badge and portion of the hotel, gas, food, etc. Which means I would get to go too. Which is totally fine with me. They're going to have a huge Buffy Track that seems to be lasting the entire weekend. Part of which includes Once More, With Feeling, Rocky Horror style.

But I don't want to get my hopes up. I know how he is with money, and I can see him already spending too much and not having enough to go. At the same time, it's probably best if we didn't go, because he doesn't really need to be wasting the money on this... he should be paying off his credit card or getting work done on his car or other things around the house.

Despite all that, it would still be nice to go. It's even a social thing! I need more social things in my life.
