Purple Means... Royal July 27, 2003 - 10:08 p.m.

Guess I was really, really tired because I was asleep as soon as I layed back down. And I didn't wake up until there was knocking on the door.

Chris was home!

He came in and rambled about his weekend. He didn't even qualify for the tournament, but did well on the games that he did play. The majority of his weekend was spent shopping in the dealers' room, getting drunk, and watching anime. He bought four Cowboy Bebop cds and three posters. Split a box of booster cards for L5R with a friend and bought a Crab Clan L5R t-shirt. He also picked up a lot of free stuff, like posters for L5R or D&D, and samples of new toys that are similar to Hero Clix, but one is targeted towards kids and is really cute, and the other is Lord of the Rings related, a couple samples of card games and several catalogs. As well as a Neopets pamphlet advertising their upcoming card game and a flyer for the Neopets magazine, both for me. And he even bought me Pop-Out People. Of the Buffy variety!

He said there were several things he wanted to go back and get, including a shirt or two for me. But he both forgot and didn't have time nor money. He made it worse by describing the really cute Powerpuff Girls gone Goth shirt that I could have had. But that's for the best, as I have too many Willow-needs-new-shirts moments as it is.

"God, why do all my shirts have such stupid things on them? Why can't I just dress like a grownup?"

I can't tell you how many times I've thought the exact same thing. That's what I get for getting all shirts with cute images or movie shots and logos.

Someone wanna buy me a nice sewing machine and a bunch of groovy fabric so I can make my own nifty clothes?

Didn't think so.
