Damn You! July 14, 2004 - 2:11 p.m.

Soooo again….

In my last entry - found here - I failed to mention the other thing that brightened my short and otherwise miserable stay at my mom’s house, besides the pets.

I got to her house late Sunday evening. Apparently the day prior, I got a package in the mail. Lots of unexpected goodies were inside.

Including Tim Burton’s book: The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories.

- James -
Unwisely, Santa offered a teddy bear to James, unaware that
he had been mauled by a grizzly earlier that year.

- The Pin Cushion Queen -
Life isn't easy
for the Pin Cushion Queen.
When she sits on her throne
pins push through her spleen.

- Stick Boy and Match Girl in Love -
Stick Boy liked Match Girl,
he liked her a lot.
He liked her cute figure,
he thought she was hot.

But could a flame ever burn
for a match and a stick?
It did quite literally;
he burned up pretty quick.

- Voodoo Girl -
Her skin is white cloth,
and she's all sewn apart
and she has many colored pins
sticking out of her heart.

She has a beautiful set
of hypno-disk eyes,
the ones that she uses
to hypnotize guys.

She has many different zombies
who are deeply in her trance.
She even has a zombie
who was originally from France.

But she knows she has a curse on her,
a curse she cannot win.
For if someone gets
too close to her,

the pins stick farther in.

In addition to the book - Yay books! - there were some soundtracks, a few games, two Neopets, this, a partridge in a pear tree, and a pack of batteries. Um… what the fuck’s up with the batteries? Didja just happen to know the remote batteries were dying? “You have some ‘splaining to do, Ricky.”

Everything was very nice and you are far too generous. If you were around, I’d punch you because it was truly unnecessary. Greatly appreciated, but unnecessary.

Thank you. It made me smile during an almost unbearable situation.
