Oh. My. God.

Buffy... blood... Sunnydale... Uruk Hai Vamps... deaths... hugs... magic... fights... Shock and Awe... new beginnings...

There was so much in this episode. It's all so overwhelming. One scene in particular. The visuals still haunt me. I expect to have nightmares about it. Deaths were greatly expected... but this one, the way it happened, just shocking. It seemed so very random.

But in typical Whedon style, the episode overflowed with humour, despite the carnage. The scene in the hallway before everyone split, talking about trivial issues and Giles saying the world is definitely doomed... that was so very season one. Possibly first episode early. And the way Buffy fell a little over half way through the episode, was very much like her crash into the water when the Master killed her at the end of season one.

I simply cannot wait until Angel starts next season to see how they manage this whole Spike thing. And I especially can't wait for a spin-off to take place, because I'm sure there will be information on what everyone has done with themselves, regardless if they're on the show or not. It could be one of those casual catch-up conversations. The latest gossip. Which could also take place on Angel, if anyone decides to stop in for a cameo visit. And I'm sure they will.

Buffy and Dawn could be in town to visit their dad. Willow and Kennedy could be travelling, just as a romantic getaway or some crap. [Why couldn't they have killed Kennedy?!] Xander and Andrew could be there to attend some huge Con. Giles could be on a self-appointed mission to reinstate the Watcher's Council. Faith could be her typical wandering self. Oz could show up out of nowhere to find out what happened to Sunnydale... ex-Dale residents would be likely to know. Pick a person, and there's a valid reason why they would show up in L.A.

I simply can't wait. So many doors are open now.

Anya: "But I don't understand! I don't understand how this all happens. How we go through this. I mean, I knew her, and then she's... there's just a body, and I don't understand why she just can't get back in it and not be dead anymore. It's stupid. It's mortal and stupid. And, and Xander's crying and not talking, and, and I was having fruit punch, and I thought, well, Joyce will never have any more fruit punch ever, and she'll never have eggs, or yawn or brush her hair, not ever, and no one will explain to me why."

That's right Anya... it's mortal, and stupid. *sniffles*
