Break an Arm February 19, 2003 - 1:53 p.m.

I had a strange dream last night. Actually, I dont' remember much of it, but there was one aspect of it that was VERY strange.

I broke my arm. Although, I remember thinking it was only a hairline fracture, and this somehow made it better. It was cracked about half way between the wrist and elbow. And maybe I had x-ray vision..? Cause I recall seeing the actual crack in the bone.

But there was no doctor visit for me, no sir. Just like real life, I didn't have the money so I felt I could handle it all on my own. Unless I'm immobile-sick, then I'll just wait whatever it is out.

So I was wandering around, doing dream-like stuff (which I'm now picturing as me being a clerk of some sort... the customer is on the other side of the counter... but it's not something like retail... it's like... washing things, or gift wrapping... food prep, but there was no food.... God, dreams are so strange.) and whatever I'm doing, is done with this broken arm. Which hurts like all hell. So I'm doing whatever I can with only one arm. And I keep looking at my hurt arm, the left one, cause it's just weird looking.

It's not bent awkwardly or anything, like I said, it was only a hairline fracture... but there was a section, just above the crack, that was swelling. In a rectangular shape. It seemed more like a perfect square of air implanted under the skin. It was disgusting, but so cool. I kept looking at it and showing other people. 'Look what I did!' I recall planning out my own make-shift splint using some stick or something and an ace bandage or two. But the dream never went that far.

At some point, I was back in school. Maybe it was college, but it felt more like high school. I don't remember much about that either, other than the fact that people were being stupid and obnoxious and I was getting way annoyed. Maybe that has something to do with the current state of Quotes.

Everyone's become drama-hungry and acting like high school cliques. It's getting old, quick.
