Braaaains March 29, 2004 - 1:47 p.m.

I'm giving Chris hell because his role-playing group decided to go see a movie last night, and he went.

They saw the new Dawn of the Dead.

He says that he didn't know whether or not I'd be here when they did go, and he also didn't think I wanted to see it.

Well, duh! I'm a movie whore. I wanna see everything! And I'd never turn down the chance to go see a movie, unless I'm working or sick. Or broke and having to pay my own way.

Then he started saying that I'd gone to see movies without him. And this is true. But he's been invited to go every single time and has chosen not to. Mainly because we typically go to see girly movies while no guys are around. But he wanted to see 50 First Dates, and we invited him when we went. He decided to just play EQ instead. Maybe I did see movies without him, but he was given the option of going too.

I guess he wanted to make me feel better by saying I wouldn't have liked it anyhow. How I wouldn't have been able to watch much without covering my eyes. He admitted to jumping several times himself. He doesn't seem to realize it's not every slightly gimped up face that freaks me out. I won't even know what triggers that reaction, until I'm confronted with it. Besides, being scared and jumping are part of going to see a horror movie. But I can understand him trying to use that logic to make me feel like I wasn't missing out on anything.

It didn't work though.

It's not like I'm actually pissed. I'm disappointed, sure, because it seems like we rarely get to go to the movies and this is one I really wanted to see. But I'm not like yelling at him or fuming like mad. I just mention it to tease him, or I'll make sarcastic sad faces. Though I guess that could be considered passive aggressive.

As long as we go see Scooby Doo 2 really soon, I won't mind much. Which, by the way, was the number one movie this weekend.

I have a sick, sick love of bad movies.

Now, I think it's time for a nap.
