Peace in Boredom May 31, 2004 - 4:54 p.m.

Another huge storm rolled through last night. Pretty bad this time. The electricity went out around midnight. A little before. I was in the dark, by myself, not knowing what to do.

Everything's fine though, obviously. Just lots of tree branches all over the place.

The electricity was out for over twelve hours. It finally came back on around 1pm.

For a whole five minutes.

Just long enough to tease us and get into something, before it went out again. For another four hours this time.

We took that opportunity to go get some food. McDonald's. I wanted a Happy Meal. Now I have a Green Blumaroo to add to my Cloud Aisha and Yellow Chomby. I still can't fathom 109 different Neopet Happy Meal toys. Crazier than that... there actually will be someone out there that collects them all.

We came back to a still quiet and dark house. Spent an hour or so reading, before Chris' friend showed up. We babbled about nothing while waiting for the electric resurrection.

It's on again. Chris and his friend are happily enjoying a video game. We're all happy that the AC is back. I'm getting my internet fix. Lights and hot water are good, too.

All night and day, we've been waiting impatiently for the electricity to come back on, because we were bored to tears. And now that it has, I oddly feel like reading a book or taking a nap.
