"I'm Fiona!! Welcome to your party!" April 24, 2002 - 7:24 a.m.

As I've mentioned before, being bored is not a good thing.

I got bored this past weekend.

My hair is now shorter.

Eh, not much... when my arms are to my side, it reaches my elbows. A good, I don't know... 4 or 5 inches gone.

I started doing LOTS of cleaning at my house. Throwing stuff away while my mom was sleeping, so she wouldn't see and have a complete fit. She really would...

Her -"You're throwing these newspapers away?!?!!??"
Me- "Mom....... they're from 1986. Not really considered current events anymore."
Her - "But I could still use the coupons....."
Me- "................................"

That's one thing I can't stand about my mom. Every time I even move the smallest thing, I get this full blown FBI-style interrogation. Forget trying to throw something away. Even if it is mine.

So anyhow, I got a little cleaning done. Both in our basement, and in my room. Found my Star Wars videos. Reorganized some of my Scooby stuff. Finished reading Martian Chronicles. Read all of The Barker Street Regulars. (Dog Lover's Mystery thing...) Watched Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Hercules. Return of the Jedi is this weekend. I would have watched it too, it's already in the player, but Chris picked me up WAY earlier than usual. Played around with make-up. Painted my nails metallic blue. Made Enchiritos. Mmmmm....... *drools* And I pulled a Josie. *hides*

For those of you that have seen Josie and the Pussycats, you'll know what I mean when I say 'wristbands'. Not like 80's terrycloth workout bands... just a small piece of cloth. Trendy accessory. Or in my case, a time waster. I have a huge chunk of silvery-grey velvet, and lots of scraps... so I started messing with the scraps and realized that there isn't enough to actually make anything worth while. But I'm a frugal wench that can't stand to see anything going to waste... so yes, I started making my own silver-grey wristbands. Bite me. Future plans for the velvet? Other than a skirt and tank top.... a pair of roos. :-D

I also want to say, if you haven't seen Josie and the Pussycats, you should. But when you watch it, take it for what it is. Don't expect some spectacular movie. Come on... it's based on a 70's cartoon... of course it's going to be full of cheese. (Which isn't a bad thing) The best way to describe this film, is to say that the entire thing is basically one big joke towards commercialism. If you can laugh at trends and commercialism, you may just enjoy it. Then again, I am the moviewhore that loves just about anything she watches, so don't take my word for it. I'm the type of person that sees it as, if you can laugh at just ONE joke or feel whatever the character may be feeling for just ONE moment... then it's worth it. Forget all this bullshit about plot holes, bad acting, horrible directing..... stop taking movies for granted and just be entertained.
