Halloween Book Signing 2001-10-31 - 1:43 a.m. I didn't dress up in some costume. No giving out candy to little kids. Didn't even watch scary movies on tv, until now. (around 1am) So, no party, no midget in an Oompa Loompa costume, begging for compacted sugar... Just a book signing in our local book store. If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor Bruce Campbell's autobiography. The man himself! The king!! (Hail to the King) Signing books, after reading part of it to the MONSTROUS crowd and answering brief questions. He's hilarious.... just great. Read the book. Funny stuff! Unfortunately though, I didn't personally have him sign my book. :( If I had waited in that long line..... I'd be there for 3 more hours STILL. At least. So we had a friend of ours who was really close in line, give them to be signed. But it worked out great. We were sitting like 8 feet away from him, literally, and watching as he signed everyone else's, chit-chatted, and posed for pics. When our friend set his books down (4 in all) Bruce chuckled at the amount. Nothing really odd, it happened before, but most people had... you know.... ONE. lol They talked, blah blah blah, while he mindlessly signed the books. When he got to mine, that last one, he asked 'Who's Nikki?' 'That chic over there....' and pointed. He looked up (which he hadn't done... I'd been watching him for like an hour at this point, and he never looked into the audience. I guess tried to make it really personal with the person he was currently signing for.) and I did my cheesy HI-I'm-in-actor-shock wave. LOL He did the same wave back (hehe) and continued signing my book. I saw my friend read what he wrote... and they both started laughing. Oh no, I thought...... We nodded to Bruce as leaving, and my friend handed me the book..... "Hey Nikki, Gimme some sugar, baby! Bruce Campbell 10/31/01" Probably doesn't sound as exciting.... but it was a great night! :D
