A day at B & E April 04, 2002 - 6:51 p.m.

I feel like we had a productive day today. Although we didn't get anything accomplished around the house, it's still a satisfying feat. Things were taken care of that had been put off for about a month or so. Just a couple of tedious errands really. It's possibly due to my simple mind, being excited over little things.... You be the judge.

I may say I have no motivation, but at least when there's something that absolutely has to be done by a certain time, I make myself do it. Unlike her. Maybe she finally found the motivation for this. Maybe it was due to my constant nagging. Regardless of what got her moving, we finally took the dogs to get their shots and licenses. Vet trip for shots, and Animal Control trip for licenses. Two accomplishments checked off the list. The kids are legal and free of Cujo-like tendencies for another year. Minor relief, but a relief none-the-less.

Superficial Sidenote - The rabies tags are silver and the license tags are an awesome shade of purple. Way prettier than last years green and orange.

I also asked the Vet about Romeo's scratch on his nose. The pigment never returned and it occasionally scabs over. I've been so concerned it was doggy skin cancer, if they can even get skin cancer. (My own paranoia??) I was quite relieved, as well as feeling like a paranoid fool, when he said it was a very common thing with dogs around chainlink fences. They poke their noses through and it gets scratched across the metal. Constantly doing this will then hender the pigment's return, as well as causing a newer sore occasionally. Explaining why I'd never seen it before. When we lived in the country, there were no fences for him to deal with. I miss that. Now our only doggy concern.... Getting Lady groomed. Wonder how long this one will take..... *sigh*

Accomplishment #3 - We finally went grocery shopping. TWICE!! :) Nothing too exciting. Just food. Milk, bread, honey ham, chips, a few jars of salsa. My mom's all about anything spicy. Of course, she got her old lady food as well. Split peas and carrot soup. Canned spinach and squash. Yeah.... That's a great big 'EW' from me. Plus a few gagging noises.

I also got some nailpolish. I haven't had any new nailpolish in a few years now. I've always been known for having 'odd' colored nails. Or so that's what they tell me. I never thought it was odd. I got 3 bottles of Chrome! :) 3 for $1. 3 different shades. Blue, silver, and gold. I'm not a fan of gold typically, but it's a subtle gold, so it still rocks. Oh yeah, and some chrome eyeliner. Technically the shade is gunmetal, which really kicks ass. Black, but looks like a shiny grey when the light hits it right. I don't wear makeup too often, but it's cool to have neat colors to choose from, when the desire arises. Besides... 69 cents... I couldn't pass it up.

B & E Salvage Rocks!!! Dented cans. Crushed boxes. Still good quality, and for just 3/4 the usual prices!
